A putzy preparation. I chopped a 4# chicken into eight pieces, sanitized the entire kitchen and threw the rug and dish towels in the wash – naturally, then completed all the steps up to “cook in the slow cooker for three hours” on the stovetop to expedite the process. [Our cooker’s insert has the diameter of a dessert plate; it would’ve taken ages to brown the chicken and braise the onions and garlic.]
