Is it ‘deconstructed’ if I used gnocchi instead of pasta? A remix?? Details.

Back home, whenever we’d make a Tenuta’s run, pumpkin or butternut squash ravioli were always on the list. The Tenuta family’s homemade ravioli are divine, made that much better with a brown butter coating, a grating of nutmeg and crumbled amaretti cookies.

With a little help from Saveur and our tiny sage plant decimated for the good of our food, I attempted to recreate that dish tonight. Deconstructed butternut squash-sage gnocchi in a hot and sweet butter sauce is befitting of the famous Italian explorer today commemorates! Cin cin!
